Mr. Tatsumi has been employed at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. since 1981. His assignments throughout the 1980s were in aerodynamics research both for experimental and computational. He worked on the Japanese fighter "F-2" development program as an aerodynamic designer in early 1990s. After having engaged as a visiting research staff member at Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University for two years, he followed several international collaborative aircraft development programs at Mitsubishi.

His primary areas of interest include CFD, aircraft preliminary design, and commercial aircraft program management. His current assignment is Director, Civil Aircraft Engineering at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Nagoya Aerospace Systems.
